Wha do i need to travel alone?

What do I need to do to be able to travel to Canada alone being 16?

  • I was wondering what kind of forms or things I would need to be able to travel across the border without my parents. Anyone got any insight on this?

  • Answer:

You will need a notarized letter from both your parents giving permission to cross the border, it should have on it where you are going, who are you going with or staying with, how long you will be gone, and when you are expected to return, as well as all of their contact info such as their address and phone numbers, very important to note the one they will be at during your anticipated time of arrival at the border. As you are only 16 you only require your original birth certificate if you are traveling by land if you are flying you will need your passport.

Not sure you can at 16. But I would bet you need at least a photo ID. And maybe your birth certificate.
