Immigration question.

Hello!......I have three question about immigration to Canada from UK? ....Please Help?

• I'm not from UK originally but I might get visa to live there accompanied by my family because my father is getting a work permit from UK and the company has said that it will provide visas for family members of the employees too. I wanted to get student visa from Canada for my post graduate degree but seems that's not an easy work right now from here and I have now 2 chances : 1. Go to UK with my family and apply for immigration visa from UK (though my father might work there for 1 year) and after that maybe we should come back to our own country which is in the middle east. 2. I can get a work permit from one of my relatives who is the citizen of Canada and get a work permit visa from Canada ...but can I then choose there to not work and apply for university with work visa (not student visa) if my relative can sign the papers for my work (indicates that I'm still working there) ? 3. From here in our country it takes between 4 to 7 years to get the immigration visa ( I know all the requirements and I'm sure that I'm eligible to apply for it). But I'm curious to know a)How long does it take form UK or Canada itsself to get immigration to Canada and b)Whether I would be able to go to another country and apply for immigration visa from here (my own country) ...because I actually don't know where would I be in these 4 tp 7 years that getting immigration visa takes and it's a long time... Thank's I would be glad if you can help me,because I want to apply for immigration as soon as possible but I don't know where and how long would I stay in which country during these years that getting immigration visa takes.....HELP PLZ
