Yes, you can mail it in Canada. Yes, you can mail it from any post box assuming it is a standard size and weight. Postage to the US (for a standard size letter of less than 30g) is $1.00 but if you don't want to go buy a special stamp you can just put two 57 cent stamps on it. You're wasting a bit of money in postage but it might save you time and effort. As for delivery time, I'll assign that as your homework. You can find it on the Canada Post website.

If you are in Canada and wish to mail a letter then you must use Canadian Postal Stamps, not another countries. The cost of mailing a standard letter from Canada to the US is $1.00 Cdn or if you already have stamps you can use 2 $.57 stamps. For how long it takes to go from Canada to Florida it can depend on where in Canada you are mailing the letter from. Standard from the west coast to Florida when my parents would send me a letter would be 7 to 10 days. Sometimes it would get there in 6 and other times it got there in 10 it really varies. You do need to put the letter into a Canada Post Box whether it is at the station itself or one on the side of the road. The postal workers do not pick up mail from your own personal mailbox unless you live in an apartment or complex with postal boxes and it is an option.
