How can I get a tan for the beach?

Can anyone please explain how to get to Cavendish Beach?

  • I am going on vacation to Cavendish, PEI...and everytime I try to do a search to find how to get to the beach, I only find results for cavendish beach cottages or nearby attractions. I will be staying at the Cavendish resort Motel, on Cavendish Rd...and will be walking everywhere. I need specific instructions as to how to get the beach from my motel...I asked someone awhile ago..and their answer was, just go outside and walk over the side of the road...you will find a beach. Well, that answer isnt sufficient...because obviously that isnt correct. I was checking on google maps...and there is no sign of a beach! Please help!! :(

    Well again...assuming you mean Cavendish Corner Resort...Which is at the intersection of Cavendish road and Cawnpore Lane. You walk across Cawnpore Lane ..go to the right.and walk down the boardwalk..(it's only on one side of the street)....you walk down the boardwalk about 400 metres and the road turns away from it.The boardwalk continues and ends at a bike path/walking trail you walk about another 600 metres and you're at the beach. the little "A" balloon is your starting point on the map...the beach is right "above " it. http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=Cavendish,+Prince+Edward+Island&hl=en&ll=46.494611,-63.379612&spn=0.01557,0.027595&sll=46.390754,-63.207436&sspn=0.124794,0.220757&t=h&z=15

Why don't you email or phone the motel and ask them how to get to the beach and how far away it is? They're right there, and I'm sure you won't be the first visitor to ask this question. I tried to look it up on a map for you, but there is nothing with that exact name listed. If the place you're staying is the Resort at Cavendish Corner, part of which used to the Cavendish motel, then I had no trouble finding its location on google maps simply by searching for Cavendish and looking for the corner where that motel is, corner of Route 6(Cavendish Rd) and Route 13. Switch the map to satellite and a beach is very plain on the satellite photo and it looks as if it's a bit more than half a mile from that motel.
