Ive sent a letter to canada and it doesnt seem to have arrived?

i sent a package to canada 3 weeks ago to the day, and when i sent it i asked how long they think it will take, they said 2 weeks or so, i didnt get any insurance on it or anything so im not sure if it doesnt arrive, i will be able to find out what happened to it and gain a refund or anything.. can anybody tell me if theres anything i can do?

how did you send it? By mail, by fedex, ups or whatever? Call the shipper and ask what happened to it.

Was it a letter or was it a package? A letter should be deliverable easily within 2 weeks but if it was a package it could very well be held up at Canada Customs. Unfortunately since you didn't register or insure it you're going to have a hard time finding out.

Obviously you need to start with the USPS, as they were the "receiving office' that you gave the package to, in the first place. Not having insured the package was a mistake, and I hope that you have learned a lesson from that. If you had used UPS or FedEX , it would have had a "tracking number " that they could use to trace the shipment, in Canada, at every step of the way. Lesson number two. Canada is a large country, WHERE did you send it too, and did you have the correct POSTAL CODE and street address on the label ? Without all that information, delivery will be delayed. Jim B.
