Answer:
I love Google street view too. However where i live in the Midlands UK the place looks on Google maps cleaner then it actually is whereas its filthy in real life. But i was wondering exactly the same thing about Canada and the US too on Google street view. To be honest Canada looks more bright and colourful. I think its because of the newer HD camera used on Canada but when i even look at it HD in some parts of the US i can definitely tell you that Canada looks wayyy newer, neater and cleaner.

Depends where you look I guess. And when the pics were taken. Canada is beautiful and there are usually plenty of green things in most places I've been in Canada but the green lawns is definitely dependent on where you are. Lime is not the colour I would use to describe the green but again depends on where you look.

Depends on what time of year the map was posted......I notice when I look at one of my houses, I still am driving my Dodge Grand Caravan...as that is whats parked in my driveway. Now, I haven't owned that van in two years, and only had it the first three months I lived here....so that means it was last updated September of 09. I still don't know what you mean about the lime green grass however.....mine is a regular dark green still.

I can't really explain it. Might have had something to do with the light at the time they took the photos. I know they did the one of my house in August, when things are not as green as they are earlier in the summer. And the sunlight isn't as strong by then either.

Didn't you hear? We only get light green plants in Canada, all the dark green ones would rather live in the USA. Duhhh.

I wouldn't call it lime green but I agree it has a more pastel-like look than reality. It may have to do with the camera used on the Google cars. Also, if it's cloudy it produces a washed-out look. And like someone said, in August the greens are paler than in June, at least in southern Ontario. I agree, Google green is more "lime" than the green i see out the window in summer or the green I get from my cameras.

True. No sunlight, hence no photosynthesis.
