Is working at Walt Disney World worth it?

I am a Canadian Citizen, and I am interested in working at Walt Disney World Resort. How can I do this?

  • I have tried looking through links on the Disney website, but i haven't been able to find a way to apply directly to Disney. If anyone has any information, or can possibly find a link that I can use to apply for a job, I would be extremely pleased. Thanks for any help you can provide!

I believe that you would be a perfect fit for the "Cultural Representative Program" at Walt disney World. Participants in this program will work in Food and Beverage, Attractions, Kidcot or Merchandise at one of the themed pavilions at Epcot® World Showcase; in Guest Relations at one of our four theme parks or the Downtown Disney® Area; or at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. In this role, participants will have the opportunity to share the unique culture and customs of their country with Guests, while handling the specific position's traditional responsibilities. The Cultural Representative Program is a 12-month experience, although program length may vary with the country/position offered. In the World Showcase at Epcot, there are 11 Pavilions that represent different nations of which Canada is included. A majority of the Cast Members in the World Showcase are Cultural Representatives on temporary work visas from their home country. For more information and to apply to the "Cultural Representative Program" at Walt Disney World, you will want to click here https://www.disneyinternationalprograms.com/crp.html If you have restaurant experience, you may want to try to get an assignment at LeCellier, which is an amazing Canadian Steak house. The food is spectacular, and reservations are hard to come by. Good Luck! I hope to see you here soon! (Smile!) It will be the most magical experience you've ever had!

Disney World will not offer you a job as you are not an American citizen. Immigration will not issue you a green card (foreign resident's work permit) to work in USA for a job that can be filled by your average American. You need to prove that your skills are in such high demand that they can't find an American to fill the position or are superior skills that no American has them but you do and they need you.

You might be able to go there on a temporary working holiday with a program like SWAP, but to move there permanently there would be a lot more red tape you'd have to go through first...
