What is the worst city in ontario?

What is a good Ontario- Or Canadian City to move to?

  • I am looking for a good city in Ontario (or the closer to Ontario, the better) I would prefer a larger city, but NOT Toronto or Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, or London. I need to find a new city to live. The only real requirements is that it have a nice downtown/uptown area, a university, good bus system and the larger/more people the better. Thanks

  • Answer:

Or perhaps St. Catharines, Ontario. Its in Niagara Region, has a population of 140,000 and is home to Brock University and one campus of Niagara College. Nice, completely revamped Downtown, complete with chic little coffee shops and clubs. A great selection of ethnic restaurants. Good shopping in the Pen Centre Mall, or all over in plazas. Great public transportation. Being a University city, we have lots of night life geared at the college crowd. Nice place to live.

I agree Kingston is nice, but I would reccomend Ottawa. Ottawa has a lot of history, it's the capital of the country, and it has a rather nice downtown. Sparks Street Mall a nice example of the history in Ottawa. Ottawa offers Carleton University ( www.carleton.ca ), and the University of Ottawa ( www.uottawa.ca) There are private bus lanes in some parts of the city, and it is rather large, because there are many tourists. The Ontario Government classifies it as a "Medium Sized City" which means it has a population of over 150,000 (the actual population is around 895,000)

Kingston is really nice and has lots of downtown charm or Ottawa would be nice too.
