Can a teenager legally cross the border into Canada without an adult?
-
a friend of mine (16) and i (16) are planning on driving to canada to visit some friends, but my parents are not sure what the border rules are about crossing the border without an adult. Is it possible? or are you required to have an adult with you if you are under the age of 18? Please show proof of your answer. thanks :)

Answer:
Yes you may. You will need passports...see 1st site to read the law and 2nd site for application info. You will also need letters of permission signed by both parents and notarized. See 3rd site to read that Canada requires this and 4th site for more info about the letter.
