Have you applied for her US permanent resident (green card) already? You said she is your wife than you said she is your fiance I am bit confused but in any case. If she is in the US and she has already applied for a green card but has not got it yet, she can't leave the country unless you apply for a parole (ask an imigration lawyer or an INS officer). The parole is a letter that the US grant allowing her to leave and come back to the country. This way she can apply for Canadian visa and be able to come back to the USA without any problems. Although the green card application is not difficult I highly recommend to go through a lawyer. You can find a cheap one by searching the net or yellow pages the cheapest can cost you $1,200 depend which state you are (I am in NY). Once she has the green card she can't be absent of the country for more than one year, so I highly advise you to have her come back to the States every six months or so. Canadian visa: considering she is already allowed to leave US, you can apply for a spouse visa or a tourist visa for her to accompany you to Canada. Ask the Canadian embassy what the best visa for her is. Have you got your interview with INS already? I am in the process of applying for my husband. I found the INS has been working really fast and you can get a green card now in less than 6 months.
