Can I drive in Canada with a UK provisional licence?

Can i drive lgv in canada with my uk lgv licence?

  • Answer:

No you cannot drive a commercial truck in any of the 10 Canadian Provinces, or 3 Territories, without taking a written test, plus a road test, plus an air brake test. Those that talked here about being able to drive in Canada, were talking about driving a CAR. A UK driver can drive a car, in Canada, while here on a holiday. They cannot make a living, by driving a commercial " light goods vehicle " . In order to work in Canada, everyone MUST apply and be accepted, by the Government of Canada, as a legal immigrant. That process will take you about two years to complete. If you only have a lgv licence , with no actual trades certificate or skilled work experience, you will probably not be accepted to come here. Why not ? Canada is looking for highly educated people, with a University degree, or skilled trades men/women who have at least 5 to 10 years, of actual working experience in their trade. Jim B.
