Which government agencies in Canada help its citizens to find jobs?

• like giving free consultation as to what the job seekers can do? I live in Toronto and I see a government building right next to my place. I am planning to get some certificates. like first aid and operating radio etc... Can I apply for jobs that are out of Ontario? I don't mind moving. I am thinking of fire spotting in BC and Alberta where I don't have to find apartments. Also is moving to alberta futile attempt since rents are high? I don't have to pay rent where I live right now. My sister is taking care of me. I am young and I don't have much experience.

All you need to do is go in and register to use their services, which include help with your resume, and how to do job searches, and interview prep skills. Sounds like you are really young and naive. Fire spotting ? Ha, that will be the day that you get that kind of desirable summer job, over a BC native, who knows the geography of the province. More likely to get work in BC planting trees , if you can stand the hard work that job entails. Backbreaking and mind numbingly boring. Only slightly better than picking tobacco in Delhi, Ontario in August. Go back to school and learn a trade, such as air craft engine mechanic, then you can work anywhere in the world, for top wages and live in the sun, in Africa, or Australia. Jim B. Toronto.
