What exactly is 'Straight North' of Thunder Bay, Ontario?
-
I want to know what you will see if you go Directly North north north of Thunder Bay but it seems like there is no road that goes there. You can only like go East to Sudbury or West towards Manitoba. Why can't I just trek North from Thunder Bay. What is the obstacle that prevents developing the route north of Thunder Bay? Even more strangely you can't go South of Thunder Bay either, without going through US Customs. Why is this?

Answer:
What will you see directly north of Thunder Bay? Trees, lakes, rocks, then more trees, lakes, rocks. There's no road, obviously, because no one has had a good reason to spend the money to put one in. Get yourself a canoe if you really want to see all those trees, lakes, rocks.
