Is there any theatre or acting in any of the larger cities in Northwestern Territories, Yukon, Nunavut?

Theatre in the far north ? Very unlikely, as the population is VERY SMALL, in total. Add to that the huge distances, between communities, many of which are ONLY accessible by air plane. No commercial theatre company would be able to make a profit, by staging shows in a community that only has 5,000 people in it. Take a look at the total population of the Yukon for instance. Most are in one place, the capital city, which only has a population of 24,000 people in it. The entire Yukon population is only about 30,000. People up there get their entertainment from the Sat dishes that are located in each town, which provide the cable TV and internet services. They watch the same programing as we do down here in the south. Except that some it is translated in to native languages , such as Cree. Northern kids watch MTV and all the hip hop music shows, and their parents watch NHL hockey, and the CBC national news each night. Flat screen tvs and sony play stations are common there.
