How long does a package take to clear customs?

so, I recently bought a Google Nexus One on Ebay. The person I bought it from lives in 317 Whitcliffe Ct San Ramon, CA 94583 United States. I live in Medicine Hat Alberta, Canada. The guy shipped using USPS. and Paypal verifeid the shipment, saying that the 'Package has been shipped' and that it was shipped on March 19th 1:00 AM. I was just wondering how long it would take for my cell phone to clear customs and arrive here in Medicine Hat Alberta Canada. Thanks
