At what age can you drive in canada vancouver?

  • Answer:

At 16 take a drivers test if you pass you get your learners. Have your learners for two years ( it used to be one year they changed it in April.) After two years you get your N which you have for two years. You can't drive on your own till you have your N with your L you always have to drive with a parent. And it's you and only the parent in the car.

You can apply for your license at 16, BC has a graduated licensing program where you start with a learner's license (you need a licensed adult with you at all times), then you can take your raod test and get a "New Driver" license, which you must maintain without infractions for 2 years, then you can move up to an unrestricted license. Even if you are older than 16, you still have to go through this process if you haven't had a license before.

You must be 18 to drive legally anywhere on public roads in Canada, unless you live on a farn and want to drive a tractor out on the fields.

The funny thing is, just a few years ago, you only had to have your L for 6 months! So you could've gotten your full license before graduating high school!

16 when you have an "L".
