Where can I buy a step-up power voltage converter in Vancouver?

  • I need a step up converter to convert power from 110 volts to 220 volts. I only found 220 volts to 110 volt converters. Where Can I buy something like this in Vancouver?

    No-one does that anymore because laptops and cellphone chargers are all dual-voltage. Though you may be able to run a 110V-220V transformer backwards. I had a small one from Radio Shack, bigger ones from a commercial electronics place now closed or surplus from my workplace. If you absolutely must plug in a UK appliance, if it's OK on 60Hz you can hook up to a 220V dryer outlet. Or, if no-one's looking, across 2 phases of a kitchen outlet pair (which are supposed to be on different circuits)
