What are summers in Vancouver like?

Is Vancouver sunnier than Montreal? Are the summers there rainy/cloudy? Any sunshine in the winter?

  As someone who moved to Vancouver from Southwestern Ontario 8 years ago, I will tell you that when you spend your first winter out here (and maybe several after that) you will experience problems with the lack of sunshine. The first winter I thought I would die!! WHERE IS THE SUN?? The sun doesn't appear for weeks and sometimes months in the winter--that was my experience for the first few winters I was out here. However, after having been here for about 4-5 years, I started to think the winters were getting sunnier--they weren't--it was my perception that changed. It is difficult to get used to though. Also, unlike back east, when it starts to rain here it usually rains for days. The summers here are absolutely GORGEOUS!! The avg temp is about 25 degrees celcius and can go higher but doesn't get that God aweful humidity that back east has. Someone stated that Vancouver has 4 seasons--I would argue this coming from back east--I miss the 4 seasons because from an easterners perspective, there are 2 seasons--rain and sun!!
