What are summers in Vancouver like?

How is the weather in vancouver in summers?

  • is it raining all the time here or it is just cloudy without any rain in summers, and how much is the temperature on the hottest day........

  • Answer:

Warm and dry as a rule, more likely to be sunny than cloudy. It can get hot, up to 30C on a very hot day. More likely to be in the low 20s, Celsius, in the daytime, cooler at night. It can rain almost any time, but it can also be dry for 2 months at a time.

The weather in Vancouver and the surrounding area can best be described as variable. This past summer was unusually wet however the average summer will see many sunny days with temperatures varying from the low 20's (Celsius of course) up to around 30C. Ws can have rain frequently or can go for over a month without any significant precipitation. You must remember that Vancouver is located in a temperate rain forest region so rain is to be expected along with warm, but not overly hot, temperatures on average with the occasional exception on both ends of the temperature scale.

It is generally gorgeous and rain free. And although Karen L thinks 30C is "very hot" that is actually only about 86F; Karen needs a summer in the Sahara or in Texas to know what very hot is.. Make sure if you go to B.C. that you enjoy the local (Okanagan Valley) wines. Many are among the world's best but because of small production they are largely unknown elsewhere.
