How safe is Islington?

How long does it take from St. Andrew to Islington using TTC?

  • I tried to find out how many minutes it takes to go from St. Andrew station to Islington using the subway on http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/schedules/subway/index.htm to plan my journey but I could not find the answer. Does anyone know the approximate time and if there is a way to find that out on the site?

It is hard to tell exactly how long it will take you but I can give you my best guess. From St. Andrew up to St.George station is about 5-10 minutes. Once you get to St. George you have to change trains and go westbound to Islington. I would factor another 5 minutes in for that change as the train might not come right away and depending on the crowds it might take a while to get downstairs. From St.George to Islington can take anywhere from 30 to 35 minutes depending on subway delays. I would give yourself about 45 minutes to an hour in total. Might make you a little early but better early than late! Hope this helped!

First, click on "routes, maps and schedules", then on "subway travel time chart" and you'll be able to calculate the time from the two charts.

There's no real way to say but it really depends on what time of day you're going and whether you have to wait for the train to show up. It's around 8 minutes or so from St. Andrew to St. George station. Then another 20 minutes or so from St. George to Islington. That's 28 minutes of actual travelling time so let's say 30 minutes to round it off and another 5 minutes waiting for the train and another 5 minutes taking any possible delays into effect you're looking at about 40 minutes in total. So give yourself a little more time than you actually need to get there and you should be fine.

I would just say give yourself about half an hour at least. It wouldn't be longer than 40 minutes.
