Where is the best place for travelling by ownself?

I have kings of leon tickets for July 28 and I am travelling by Greyhound. where is the best place to get off?

  • I have kings of leon tickets for July 28 in Toronto and I am travelling there by greyhound. Where do I get off the greyhound bus so that I can catch a bus to the Molson Ampitheatre Centre? After the concert, how do I get to downtown by bus? How late do the buses run? Is there a bus or buses in Toronto that goes to Canada's Wonderland?

  • Answer:

If you take the Greyhound bus to Toronto, then you will likely to get off at the Toronto Coach Terminal on Bay & Dundas. From the Toronto Coach Terminal, follow these steps: 1) Take the southbound Yonge-University-Spadina subway train to Union Station. 2) Take the 509 Streetcar at Union Station. 3) Get off at the Exhibition Loop. 4) Walk south through the Exhibition grounds and go over the footbridge leading towards Ontario Place/Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. For the 509 streetcar route, click here: http://www3.ttc.ca/Routes/509/Westbound.jsp Just want to let you know that TTC now offers real time information on when the next streetcar will arrive. All you have to do is text in the stop number to 898882 (TXTTTC) and then you will know when the next streetcar will arrive! The system is currently implementing for buses and the whole system is expected to be fully implemented by 2011. Information can be founded here: http://www3.ttc.ca/About_the_TTC/Projects_and_initiatives/Customer_Information_Initiatives/Next_vehicle_information_system/Text_Messaging.jsp Most streetcar routes run from 6:00a.m. (9:00a.m. on Sundays) to 1:00a.m. each day. For buses, they run from 6:00a.m. (9:00a.m. on Sundays) until 1:00a.m. each day. However, there are some special late night bus services called the "Blue Night Network". These routes consists of: * 300 Bloor-Danforth * 302 Danforth Rd-McCowan * 303 Don Mills * 305 Eglinton East * 307 Eglinton West * 308 Finch East * 309 Finch West * 310 Bathurst * 313 Jane * 316 Ossington * 319 Wilson * 320 Yonge * 329 Dufferin * 353 Steeles East * 354 Lawrence East * 385 Sheppard East The Blue Night Network runs from 1:30a.m. until 5:00a.m. Blue Night bus routes can be founded here: http://www3.ttc.ca/Routes/Buses.jsp Three Seventeen's alternative directions are WAY OF COURSE. The correct answers are as follows: 1) Take the 505 Dundas Streetcar heading westbound to Bathrust Street. 2) Get off at Bathurst Street and transfer to the 511 Streetcar heading down to the Exhibition Loop. 3) Get off at the Exhibition Loop. 4) Walk south through the Exhibition grounds and go over the footbridge leading towards Ontario Place/Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. For the schedule for the 505 streetcar, click here: http://www3.ttc.ca/Routes/505/Westbound.jsp As for Canada's Wonderland, there are buses to Canada's Wonderland but at the following places: - Take the 165A/F Weston Road North bus heading westbound, then northbound to Wonderland. The 165A/F requires you to pay extra fare - as the bus goes into York Region. A YRT/VIVA fare of $3.25 is required if going north of Steeles, on top of your TTC fare of $3.00CDN. Additional information can be founded here: http://www3.ttc.ca/Fares_and_passes/Fare_information/GTA_Zone_Fares.jsp If you can, you can take the GO bus from York Mills Bus Terminal to Wonderland - all direct and non-stop. A one-way ticket from York Mills to Wonderland will cost about $4.30CDN or a return for $8.60CDN. The bus schedule for Canada's Wonderland can be founded here: http://www.gotransit.com/publicroot/en/schedules/lstserdt.aspx?table=60&station=&new= For TTC fares, click here: http://www3.ttc.ca/Fares_and_passes/Prices/index.jsp While you are in Toronto, why don't you get a daypass to ride the TTC? It cost about $10.00CDN and it allows you unlimited travel throughout the system. Also, Greyhound also offers service to Canada's Wonderland, but from the Toronto Terminal. The cost is $50.00CDN (standard fare) and it includes return bus transportation and park admission. Taxes are not included, however. LOL. Gotta love that first answer! Anyway, the bus stops at the terminal at Bay/Dundas, which is basically right downtown. The amphitheatre is in a strange location. Right outside of the bus terminal, catch the Dundas streetcar headed eastbound. Get a transfer when you pay your fare. Get off at Bathurst and take the 511 streetcar south to Exhibition Place. You will then have to walk south through the Exhibition grounds, over the Lake Shore bridge and into Ontario Place. The amphitheatre is within Ontario Place. To get back downtown, you can either walk or basically take any transit leaving the Exhibition (CNE). Also check at the bus terminal info. centre for buses to Wonderland. They'll let you know how to get there.
