How to get to Toronto from Hamilton?

How to get to Canada's Wonderland in Toronto from Hamilton using GO Transit?

  • Yes, I know it is the winter, but for the summer,I would like to know how to get there using GO transit. I live in Hamilton, and I know where the GO station is, but I do not know which one to get on, where to stop, and how to get back. Thanks for all answers. =)

One question: Are you going to Wonderland for the Week-end or during a week-day? Assume you go to Wonderland on a weekday: 1) Take the 47 GO bus from either McMaster University or the Hamilton GO Centre. 2) Get off at Square One Bus Terminal. 3) Transfer to the 40 Airport Express GO bus to Pearson Airport. 4) Get on the 34 GO Bus from Pearson Airport to Yorkdale Bus Terminal. 5) Catch the connecting GO bus that heads to Wonderland. I don't know which GO bus route number is for the Wonderland bus run, but as Wonderland opens for the season in 2010, please check for further details. As for week-ends, that would too complex. I would highly suggest on contacing GO transit for further information. You can also GO transit at +1-416-869-3200 (within the Toronto area) or 1-888-438-6646 (toll-free). I hope this helps.

its tricky as hell! k so u grab number 16 bus, platform 8 to toronto union, from there you go through union station to get to the subway, you can hop on either subway line, one takes you to yorkdale, the other side will take you to york mills, doesnt matter, get off at either of those stops, then head to the go transit terminals and catch the wonderland bus. I would go with york mills, its the first stop of the wonderland bus and ur more likely to get a seat. hope that helped :) ps, there is so no bus that goes straight from hamilton to yorkdale. that requires a bit more work lol

See "public transportation" in link. I think you can get a GO bus (not a train) from Hamilton to Yorkdale. Getting home may be challenging unless you leave Canada's Wonderland by mid evening. (I'd try to find someone to "carpool" with!) Good luck.
