How much should Caregiver Charge?

  • My friend was a caregiver for a 98 year old woman that was dying from Cancer. She gave 24 hour care. The patient required much care as she was very anxious and in pain most of the time. The patient had no children or husband. She passed away. Now...the lawyer is distributing the woman's remaining money. He has told my friend to name a price of what she believes her care was worth. That will come off the top before the rest is divided among various community programs. My friend's question is...what amount she should tell the lawyer she believes her time/work is worth. Thank you.
