  • I have previously had a passport, I am currently 17 and my passport expired around 2 years ago. I need a passport to get me into the states. Would my old passport be enough identification because I have lost my birth certificate?

    You need an application that you can get at Service Canada located all over and can get all the information there. You can get the application at Shoppers. You need two Photos and a lawyer to fill out his end and should have known you for two years or more. There is now a section where you can have two references including fiends that have known you for at least two years. The lawyer can be avoided if you send in your`e expired passport along with the application. As well you need to visit a bank and make payment and then it is a simple matter of time. No, your old passport won't work because it has expired. You can get a duplicate birth certificate if you have lost yours - just write to the department of vital statistics or check with the government office where you live.
