Canadian universities are different then American in the sense there is no such thing as "cheap" party schools. All universities in Canada are great, well funded, highly respected (there are jokes about how "if you can hold a fork go to york" and people call McGill the Harvard of Canada, but in reality employers aren't likely to discount anyone just because of where they got their degree). That means there is no such thing as Cheap! the prices between schools and programs vary but in the end you will be paying pretty much the same thing wherever you go. There are two universities in Toronto: The university of Toronto and York, York is probably marginally cheaper In Ottawa there are also two universities The university of Ottawa and Carlton they are probably about the same price. The cheapest university is likely Nipissing because it's so far North. http://www.nipissingu.ca/ there's a link living expenses would also be cheapest there because it's in a smaller city and it's further North. Also that other poster is right your going to have to pay international fees and your tuition will be way higher then a Canadian going to a Canadian school. Also sounds like you need to do more research and find out what schools offer masters degrees in your program - usually graduate students work as Teaching assistants and you earn enough doing that to cover tuition and most of your expenses research some schools and find out for yourself that's the only way to get the whole picture.

As a non citizen of Canada, you will have to pay MORE than a Canadian, for any University course here. Why ? All of our Universities are supported by Canadian tax payers, thru their annual income tax payments. You have never contributed to our economy, so you will pay a greater amount for any courses. So the word "cheap " won't apply to your situation. In order to get a International Student visa, you have to apply, and be accepted, by a Canadian University, and get a letter of acceptance. Then you can apply to the Government of Canada, for a student visa. Jim B. Toronto.
