How can I get from Yorkdale station to Canada's Wonderland on Friday?

What is the closest toronto train station to canadas wonderland?

  • Me and my cousin are leaving our kids with the husbands for a weekend and taking a train to Toronto to go to canadas wonderland.... we are planning on leaving on friday morning taking the train and then getting a hotel for the night and using transit to get to and from canada's wonderland, just trying to figure out whitch station we should use, where to stay and what transit to use to get to and from the hotel. We are going to take the train there for fri spend sat at the park and return home sunday ... any help would be great thanks so much!

    You can take "GO Bus" from either the York Mills or Yorkdale subway stations. http://www.canadaswonderland.com/visit/visit_directions.cfm Here is a map of the Toronto Transit Comission subway system. The buses from the subway stations mentioned above are the easiest in my opinion. The only thing negative about the buses is they tend to be very crowded at the end of the night just after the park closes (at least from what I remember...but it's been a few years since I last used the Wonderland bus) so I suggest leaving before the park closes to avoid the worst of the bus line-up.

if you are going to use GO transit, the closest stations are Rutherford or Maple. however, you will still need to take additional buses in York region in order to get to wonderland. if you go to Rutherford, you can take the 85 and 20. if you go to maple, you can take the 4 or 4a. another option you have is to take the ttc subway to downsview and buses from there (like the viva orange and/or 20 jane-concord, OR the 105 dufferin or 107 keele and then either the 4, 4a or 85 and 20 combinations). check the websites for exact routes and fare information.
