Area around the finch/don mills area?

  • How safe is the area around don mills and finch area in toronto near skymark place shopping center and the Seneca college. would you feel comfortable walking around the area during the day and in the evening/night. Whats the area like residential commercial? is it a place you would feel unsafe in. Planning on going down so would like some honest answers please and any thing else you can tell me about this area thanks

That's right where my uncle lives. The area is a good mix of single family owner occupied units mixed with high density apartments, medium density townhouses and condo units. The population mix is oriental, WASP and South Asian. I would walk out in the evenings - no problem. There is some commercial development - a large mall on the corner of Sheppard and Don Mills, grocery stores and smaller clusters of stores as well. Come on down!!

Largely residential to the west and commercial on the other side of the 404. The area does not make the papers much and from what I know is fairly safe ,especially during the day.
