Best free e-mail provider in Canada? MSN, Yahoo, Gmail?
-
I'm moving to Canada soon. What free email serive do Canadiens prefer best. Gmail, MSN, Yahoo? I'm sure it's all the same as the US and depends on preference, but I've heard varying stories as far as service horror stories. I'm moving to Toronto if that helps. Thank you very much for you answers!

Answer:
In general, gmail is more preferable if you have large amounts of emails as it has huge storage space so its almost impossible to reach your storage limit. It currently has 2757.272164 megabytes of free space available and its the perfect email account to send large files like photos and stuff as it doesn't affect the quality of the photo when it attaches in comparison with hotmail. The only down for gmail is that you can only sign up if you get an invite from someone else using gmail. If you don't, you can't sign up. With gmail you can use MSN messenger to chat with people too! I personally still enjoy hotmail just because I've been using it all my life. Window's Live Hotmail is now what it's called. Its free sign up and easy to use. I find it convenient and you can search for certain emails using the search bar in your inbox and stuff. I use Yahoo too and its just as good as the other ones. When it comes down to it it's personal preference. I personallly enjoy hotmail just cuz i've been using it for so long. I say try them all out and see which one you like best XD Hope this helps. They'er all free!

Based on the fact I have a Yahoo account (8+ yrs)and a MSN Hotmail account (10+ yrs), they are accessible and have with Yahoo no storage limits, MSN is still 5 gigs. I have never had any trouble with either one, whether you on dial-up (not alot have this) DSL (Bell) or Cable access (Rogers, Cogeco, Shaw or others), all providers have different levels of service gained with the account you have, it does not affect the e-mail service or quality. As for the first lady being anti-anything if were not for those 2 companys e-mail would not be what it is today, my opinion.

Personally I prefer Google, just because of the service it provides, and I am anti-microsoft and yahoo just doesn't float my boat, it all comes down to preference
