To become a pharmacist?

Do i really need a lot of math and science to become a pharmacist?

  • I'm in grade eleven but pretty soon i have to choose what i'm taking for grade 12 which will take me into post secondary. I've already planned to take two sciences(grade 12 university level chem and bio), two maths(calculus and this other one that are at university level too) English(university level), and business management because im planning to maybe run my own business as a pharmacist. Anyways, there is another math(its called data management i believe, which is a mixed uni/college course) and another science which is physics.....but im wondering to become a pharmacist do i really need physics and this other math? I know a pharmacist has to be good at math, science, and business. I'm good at business, and my average in math and science are always in the mid eighties so i'm wondering if i should add in the physics?(i'm taking physics this year in grade 11 but i'm scared its going to be way too hard in grade 12) and the data management math class is more about word problems which i suck at, so i'm wondering if universities will still accept me if i don't take physics and this data management math class?     Why don't you contact a pharmacist at your local drug store and ask him this question. He/she will be able to give you a much better answer than you could find here and might even give you some tips you haven't thought of. You can also contact a college or university that offers the degree and ask the qualifications for the course and what you should do to get into the program

You not only need to be extremely good at math and physics but you also need to be great at chemistry.Math and chemistry are VERY important if you want to be a pharmacist.

You will most likely need physics, as for data management, I don't think thats nesscary. BUT YEAH, you'll need the rest. You're average should be high 80s low 90s.
