What's it like to be a travel agent?

Whats the cheapest way to get a travel agent or adviser.?

  • Or if theres such a thing as a free one. I'm wanting to go to toronto, Canada and i'm about a thousand and a half miles away. Also have questions about toronto if anyone is ok to answer for me!

Where are you from? Here in Canada, and in many other countries, there is no cost for a travel agent. You just walk into a travel office and speak to one of the agents there. Their pay comes from the travel office which, in turn, receives commissions from the various hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour companies, etc. that they book clients in/on.

Well in Australia, there are travel shops in the malls. So basically you just walk in and they say come and sit down. It won't necessarily cost more to go to a travel agent as their commissions are based upon how many rooms in certain hotels they sell, ect.
