What are the best attractions in Ontario?

SIMCOE Ontario?? Attractions?? Accomdations?

  • I'm visiting up there this Sat with boyfriend!!::) Were very outgoing young couple. Any ideals of any nice accomdations and attractions to do?? i.e. hore back riding? Thanks~~~!!!

    I lived there until recently...I don't know of any horseback riding too near town, but there is a very nice walking/cycling trail along the Lynn River. (10km long, between Simcoe and Port Dover.) There's actually a relatively decent bowling alley in the Northern part of town (despite what your GPS might tell you, it's actually east of 24). Cheap little movie theatre downtown, nice park areas in the downtown area as well. Not a whole lot of tourist attractions, though. Picking the wrong weekend - they have a summer festival where you can play "Cow Patty Bingo"... ...trust me, you really don't want to know. ETA: While I grant there's some ambiguity in the question, Monkey, from her other question I'm pretty sure she's talking about the town of Simcoe, not the County of Simcoe. Very different places, quite far apart. The town of Simcoe is not on a lake, though it isn't far from Lake Erie (as I said, 10km to Port Dover). ETA: Regarding the below, there's one item on that list that stands out - the County Fair is pretty decent. Beyond the usual carnival stuff, they sometimes have pretty good live performances. Last year I saw BNL perform there. Doesn't look like any of their headliners are quite on that level this year, though.

i was just there today camping, there is one part of the lake where there is a path that leads you to a rocky path on the lake. and there are a lot of trails that are nice, i went on one yesterday and we literally walked by an ancient burial ground. if you like, you can go camping there but it's already freezing
