What's the best way to get to Northwestern University?

Whats the best way to get from Pearson Airport To University of Toronto in Scarborough?

  • Travelling at 7am on a Monday morning, I will have one backpack and a smallish suitcase, I'm travelling alone. What is the taxi fare? How much does it cost on public transport? Is there a bus or train that can take me direct? Any help much appreciated. Will vote best answer :)

  • Answer:

You can take a taxi the whole way, but it might be close to $60. Maybe even more. For $3.00 you can get on the TTC bus that will take you to Kipling subway station, take the subway to the other end at Kennedy Station, get on the SRT line and take it to Ellesmere I assume. Then get on another bus that goes to the the University.

Take the TTC Express Bus #192 Airport Rocket to Kippling Station then the Bloor-Danforth Subway east to Kennedy Station then transfer to the Scarborough RT to Scarborough Town Centre Mall. From the Mall take the #95B York Mills / University of Toronto bus east on Ellesmere Road (about a block south of the Mall) to the University. If you take a taxi the fare will be over $60. By transit $3.00

You can take TTC as mentioned previously, but it will take you about 2 hours. Take TTC route 192 AIRPORT ROCKET to Kipling station, then the Bloor-Danforth line east to Kennedy, then route 116E MORNINGSIDE EXPRESS to campus (the local 116 takes a bit longer as it makes many more stops). If you don't mind waiting around for a bit, you can reduce the number of transfers by taking GO bus route 40 east from the airport at 7:45 to Richmond Hill Centre (arriving at 8:05), then route 51 east (leaving 8:22) to U of T Scarborough Campus (arriving 9:08). This trip costs $7.30.

take the bus from the airport ...dont take the stupid 20$ thing.. honestly once u get to the airport ask where the bus depot it to the subway station and they will direct you, thats what i did when i arrived here a few months ago.. secondly the bus will get off at kipling station. get onto the kipling subway and you will get off at warden station which is about 45 mins on the subway.. i live in scarborough and thats the station i get the number 9 or 102 bus to my house but it all depends on where you live so i suggest looking up where u will be staying on the computer beforehand and than going on TTC.CA to find how to get there.. subway is $3.00 for a one way.. once you get to the subway station ask for a subway map.. this will help u big time, i know it does for me..toronto is a huge city and you will be so thankful for this map! good luck!!
