What are some fun things to do in Toronto?

Please tell me, what are some fun things to do in Toronto, Ontario which aren't too costly?

  • My husband and I are making a list of fun winter and summer activities we want to do in Toronto, Ontario this year which aren't TOO pricey. Any ideas?

  • Answer:

There are alot of free things and inexpensive places, the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) on Avenue Rd, AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) on Dundas St west of University, I come to Toronto on occasion and to cut your travel expenses, for $8.50 Can, you can get a TTC Day Pass which allows you to use the public transint until 3 am of the day you buy the pass, you can go on the subway, streetcars, buses and LRT in Scarborough. See the Eaton Center, City Hall, Queens Park and all the touristy things, this time of year the isalnd is a bit cold, but there are books in the hotel room to help you also with those decisions allow with the wide selection of ethnic restaurants for your dining pleasure.

Well, my personal favourite is walking around unfamiliar neighbourhoods and taking pictures, touring stores/cafes/restaurants/etc. You could try Kensington Market, Queen West, The Esplanade, Liberty City, High Park, The Distillery District, Bloor West, Midtown, The Beach, Danforth, or Yonge Street. I'd feel safe in any of these areas. Cost: TTC Day Pass is $9 EDIT:: Tourist Attractions are always expensive, I know the CN Tower is around $50/person for all three levels. Kind of a rip off, in my mind. Living areas of the city are always fun.

Go to the CN Tower Canada's Wonderland? lol

Well summer is better of course. You can walk around places like Kensington or the Beaches for free. You can chill on a patio and have a few drinks. Or go to any number of events (taste of the Danforth, Caribana, etc). But of course these things are only good when the weather is warm. Winter has more expensive activities like indoor attractions or skiing.
