Take the subway and/or a bus to the downtown Toronto train station (Union Station exit on the subway line - walk through the tunnel to the station) or the inter-city bus terminal (Dundas Street exit and a short walk west, two blocks). The fees will be the same for the bus or subway ($2.50 or so). Do NOT take a taxi - it is a long trip from the airport to any transport link to other Ontario cities (very expensive!) The subway connects to inter-city Via fast rail to close cities, and the train connects to many cities along the rail corridor. Bus routes go to many many cities. It depends on which city you're talking about. I live in Ontario, and I assure you we have many towns and cities. Most of the 'major' cities can be reached by train: There's a rail line running from Windsor to Montreal, and it stops at many cities. Anywhere you can't get by train you can usually get by bus. Only take a taxi if you're travelling locally within Toronto, because they're very expensive. If you can say which city or cities you intend to visit, I can probably be more helpful.
