What positions are available to volunteer at a hospital?

Anybody know of any good teen volunteer positions, jobs, or programs in the Toronto area?

  • This school year I'm going into Grade 10 (I just turned 15). I'm looking for something to keep me a little busy after school or on the weekends. I dance twice a week (Tues. & Thurs.), volunteer Sunday mornings until about noon, and I'm going to register for Sunday evening swimming lessons. I plan to be involved in some of the clubs and committees at school, but there's nothing major. I'm looking for meaningful volunteer work ideally (that might also look good on a resume), or some sort of teen outreach/leadership program (this summer I was at the Leaders Today Take Action! Academy, and it was incredible). A part time job would also be good. Failing that, I'd love some recommendations of either educational or recreational programs to either sign up for or be a counselor at. I live in the Toronto area, just a little north of the city in Vaughan. Anything in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) is a possibility! I'm open to all kinds of things. Thanks so much to anyone who can help!
