Where is the cheapest place to live?

Where is the cheapest, most quiet place you can live away from absolutely all noise?

  • Heavy emphasis on cheap and has to be 100% quiet. Also, need to be able to have access to good food (grocery store). I live in an apartment which by most standards would be considered very quiet, it's however not quiet enough for me. I've come to realise no apartment would be quiet enough for me right now. I am looking for a place where I would have total quietness that wouldn't cost me too much. If my family would have a chalet isolated up in the mountains in the woods that would be a perfect example of what I want but they don't. I don't care how small it is or how it looks, if there are bears or wolves around I couldn't give two *****. I don't care if I get in and there's only enough room for a small kid's bed and a toilet next to it which i have to sit on to take a shower. I can't pay more than 400-500 a month for the place though. Again, not looking for an apartment building or the basement of a house as I don't wanna hear any noise. Preferably in Quebec but if not that's okay. 15-20 minutes away in car from a grocery store where you could be alone and quiet is fine. Thanks in advance

  • Answer:

Canada has a lot of empty land. Most anyplace in Canada you can find a really quiet place in the boondocks within an hour of any big city and within 20-30 minutes of a grocery store. Just head north from the Saint Lawrence and in a small town get a local paper and look for farm house rentals.
