How do you become eligible for Quebec Bursary?

• Hi, I'm a Canadian citizen currently living in Toronto. I'm wondering how I become eligible for Quebec's bursary program as my family is very poor. I understand that you have to be a Quebec Citizen to be eligible (which to my surprise is an entirely another citizenship within Canada). To become one you need to meet several criteria such as living in Quebec for 1 year. Now unless I can become a Quebec citizen under a year; I don't think I'll be going to University after my senior year (this year). Some people may view this as good but I certainty don't. My family is from China so I have no family that has lived in Quebec. Although my Mother's brother (whom I call an Uncle) immigrated from China directly to Quebec to become a Quebec citizen and was eligible for the Bursary program. My question is fairly simple (see title) but is there any way I can become a Quebec citizen and be eligible for the bursary program with the current details I have now?

  Is there some reason you don't qualify for an Ontario Bursary or a Canadian student loan or grant. https://osap.gov.on.ca/eng/eng_osap_main.html http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/learning/canada_student_loan/index.shtml Both Ontario and Canada give grants ( which do not have to be repaid) to students who need help financing their education. You are not eligible for a Quebec Bursary but there are other resources out there to help you get an education without accumulating too much debt. Your high school counsellors will be able to help you apply.
