Where can I get married in Niagara Falls?

We're U.S. Citizens getting married in Niagara Falls, Ontario. ?

  • My finacee and I are getting married in Niagara Falls, Ontario October 24th this year. If we apply for a marriage license and get married in Niagara Falls, Ontario - will the marriage be valid in the US? We're both US Citizens and we are not the same sex. Any tips would be great too!

    Well first of all...my "Congratulations ! *VBS* I would also like to confirm that your marriage will be happily recognized not only in the U.S.A but all over the world ! Think of it this way...many people have immigrated to the U.S.A as husband and wife and their marriage is quite valid and legal ! So relax....and have a good life together *S*

My wife and i got married in Niagara Falls almost 4 year's ago and we live right beside Niagara so i can give you what information you need. I am assuming that you have applied for a marriage licence or have obtained one. To appy for one in Canada take's up to 3 month's which mine did. If you are bringing one with with you then you are all set. A US marriage licence is recognized in both Canada and the US so there is no problem there. Book your chapel early which is what i gathered you have done since you have a date set. Also, make sure you have a back up plan for photography because the weather there is very unpredictable. So have a secondary photoshoot location on hand. If the weather is inclement you can go to these locations which make for great background photos. http://www.infoniagara.com/attractions/butterfly.html http://www.niagaraparks.com/garden/floral-showhouse.php http://www.infoniagara.com/attractions/aviary/index.html Weather permitting, you can go to the Botanical Gardens but it's late in the year so it's not as colourful as it it is in the summer. The White Water Walk make's for some spectacular picture's. Lot's of trees and plenty of colour. Not to mention the raging current in the background.
