Answer:
If you live in Quebec, you can receive certain channels on a TV just with an antenna, go with a cable television package, or go with satelite TV. If you choose to just put up an antenna with rotor, you can pretty much grab the local channels (CTV, CBC, GLOBAL) as well as some US stations if you are far enough south. The Montreal area will receive CBS, NBC, ABC, and a few PBS channels. I think FOX is not available or not clear enough to say it is viewable. If you go with cable, normally you will get a package from Videotron or Cogeco. The cable companies have a package that includes US stations, stations from Montreal, Quebec city, Ottawa, or other areas. There are also lots of French channels and specialty channels thrown in. Some examples include Fox, Global, CTV, CBC, YTV, MuchMusic, CMT, Meteo, RDI, and TQS. With the satelite TV, pretty much any channels you want are available. History, Golf, Space, CNN, as well as all the others I mentioned, and several movie channels. Keep in mind that in almost all these cases, the channels broadcasting in Canada and the ones you get on the cable or satelite service are going to have to meet the CRTC guidelines for Canadian content. That means you won't get HBO, no SCI-FI channel, and many of the movie channels will show the same movie over and over and over again. (I have seen Under Siege, Lethal Weapon, and Die Hard so many times now I could be an extra in any of the scenes!)

Hi, I live in Montreal and we get American stations as well as Canadian and local stations. As far as English channels we have CTV, CBC, and Global that are Montreal based. There are also a bunch of French local channels as well but I am not as familiar with them. Hope that helped! :)
