How do you pay for college when studying abroad?

I am studying in an English college (cegep) in Montreal, do i need to pay a reg fee?

  • I am a full time student in an English Cegep. I need to take a french course this coming semester. So, I was told that I need to take it in another school. My question is if i paid for the registration in my college where i study my full-time this coming semester, do i still need to pay another registration fee in another college only to take a single course (french)? The reason I havent taken this one course in my college is because i dont have any slot. The french i will be taking is at night.

  • Answer:

If you are registering for courses at a different CEGEP, then yes you will have to pay the registration fee required for attending night courses or continuing education at that other CEGEP. That fee is to create a dossier or account for you in the school and provide you with a student ID and card. If you are attending CEGEP at Vanier or Dawson (or another English CEGEP), these school almost always have night courses in French at that school, which would save you from having to register at another school and may save you a registration fee. I assume you've already researched this? Check their website for Continuing Education courses or night courses, or ask a school counselor for advice.
