Is there an indoor water park near Montreal?

  • Does anyone know a cool water park to go to in montreal ? What about an outdoor swimming pool ? p.s. I prefer a place that is mobile by public trasportation, or perhaps close to D.T

    La Ronde (Six Flags) is on the island next to Montreal, and has both the amusement park and waterslides park. It can be reached by taking the Yellow line on the Montreal Metro (subway). There are also a few waterparks up north, such as Les Cascades d'Eau in Piedmont, and the Super Aqua Club in Point Calumet, but these may be a bit more complicated to get to if you are coming by public transit.

Unfortunately there are no water parks in Montreal that are accessible by public transportation. As others have said, the coolest water parks in the area are Super Aqua Club in Point Calumet, or Mont Saint Sauveur, in Saint Sauver. The coolest thing in Montreal itself is the beach on Ile Notre Dame. It's a completely artificial lake (with filtration and everything) with a nice sandy beach, volleyball, a playground for kids, a bar, and lots of stuff going on all the time. You can get there by public transport: just take the metro to the Jean Drapeau stop (orange line) and then get on the bus that says "plage."

I thought there were some water slides right next to La Ronde!?! When did they close down and why?!?

The water park at La Ronde is closed. They transferred all their slides to Point Calumet. Point Calumet is by far the best water park!!! They have the craziest slides ever!!! It is definitely the one to go too.
