Can an American work in Montreal?

Under the table job in Montreal ?

I'm an American who would love to work in Montreal, Quebec. I don't have a work visa and i don't want to go through the hassle of getting one. So does anybody know where an non-french speaking American can get an under-the-table or off-the-books job in Montreal ?

your limited to shitty jobs usually, busboy, factory (assembler or manual labourer) if your handy at painting and renovations try an apartment complex' put ads up maybe for what you are skilled in on craigslist.com or kijiji.ca, some telemarketing companies but thats illegal and you get in huge crap if you get caught - if you get poor its good for a couple days pay just leave it at that dont make a career of it
