What important countries are there in South-East Asia?

What are the countries that make up oriental asia and indo asia?

  • i'm not sure if those are the correct terms but could someone tell me which part of asia might be oriental asia...as in southeast or east or what?

  • Answer:

IndoAsia is Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Oriental Asia is all of the above, plus Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Mongolia, and Bhutan (some would include Indonesia, Brunei, and the Phillipines, also).

oriental normally refers to having chinese origins. So the correct term is actually Indo-china. Refers to states south of China like laos , Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar. The oriental look also can include Japanese and Koreans and Taiwanese. Basically very pale skinned ie not dark nor white. South of these countries the people get slightly darker skinned ie ( malayan ) like Malaysia , Phillipines , Indonesia. probably due to the weather but definitely has some influences from Middle east traders long time ago and South Pacific migrators.
