Is the shopping in fiji any good?

Shopping & Attractions in Fiji?

  • In a few months time, I'm going to be traveling to Denarau Island, Fiji, and I was just wondering what the shopping is like, and how the prices compare to shopping in Australia? Also, if anyone knows of attraction etc, please tell me about them :)

    hi! well you'll love fiji. denarau isnt exactly an island, but its niiiice... with lots of top resorts there. shopping is not cheap like vietnam or bali, but things can be cheaper than here. diesel jeans for example are only like 20 bucks. if you can find them. shopping in the hotels is a TOTAL rip off, so make sure you take a bus ride into town and shop around there. prouds is good. not many attractions other than the beaches and the locals. lol be sure to take a day trip out to the nearby islands to see how gorgeous the place really is... but you'll have HEAPS to do anyway around denarau at all the different resorts. have fun!! :)

Hey! I'm from Fiji. If u have time u should definitely check out Zip Fiji. Heres the website http://zip-fiji.com/ and it would be awsome to take a boat ride out to the outer islands like Mana Island, Malololailai, Castaway or Beachcomber. I'm sure you'd enjoy that. Theres also a shopping centre on Denarau Island. And you could also go into Nadi Town. However its quite small and I don't think they'd be anything to buy that you can't get in Australia. I'm not too sure about the prices. Right now the FJ Dollar isn't doing that great so your Aussie money will probably be quite a bit over there. Denerau Island also has a golf course and bula bus. However the beaches on Denerau aren't that great. The ones out in the outer islands are so much nicer. The Bula Bus takes you around the island to the different hotels.
