I am possibly going to go to Fiji for honeymoon next year. I am looking for any information regarding this venue. I would like to read about your respective stories having been there or due to go there. I am hoping to get some information regarding the following: Flights: Where from (uk), how much, duration, what to do on flight tec..... Resorts: Hotels or appartments recommended or not recommended! Costing in general: IE food, drink, all inclusive packages etc..... Activities and tourist attractions to try out and/or avoid! Any problems to look out for in particular? What would you give the experience out of 10? Any information would be much appreciated and as I have already said I would love to read your stories about holidaying in fiji.....

Answer:
Hi there, Fiji is paradise! My family and I were fortunate enough to stay in Fiji for 4 days on route back to the UK after holidaysing in Australia. We stayed at a lovely resort called the Hideaway on the Coral coast. It was delightfull. The Fijians are also very, very friendly lovely people. As it is your honeymoon I would suggest staying on one of the outer Islands as they are more luxurious and probably more suited to honeymooners. However there were honeymooners at the Hideaway. We stayed in an ocean front beach bure. I think they have a special one for honeymooners! I suggest you take a look at Tripadvisor and read up some reviews of resorts and hotels in Fiji. Flights are normally with Air New Zealand and go Via Los Angeles. Fiji is 10 hours from Los Angeles. Not sure how long the flight is from Uk to Los Angeles. Thinkl it's about 12 hours. As this is your honeymoon you may want to stop over in LA for a night or two , visit Disney? and then fly on to Fiji? Fiji is an expensive destination to visit from the Uk. I think we only managed it because it was a stop-over! As with any country there are poor areas to Fiji with a lot of poverty. In Nadi (the main airport) there is no real point visiting Nadi as it is a poor area and not one i would want to be wandering around alone. Food and drink was average prices. Certainly no more expensive than the UK. There are many excursions you can do whilst in Fiji. Island hopping and a romantic picinic may be an idea? Visiting the cane fields, snorkling, glass bottom boat, suset cruises with dinner etc etc.........plus much more! I saw in Bath Travel shop them advertising 1 week in Fiji staying at Outrigger Resort Fiji flying with Air New Zealand £1499! Take a look at Virgin Holidays as you may get it cheaper. Also look at Expedia.co.uk as their prices can be great. I hope you have a great honeymoon. I loved Fiji and would love to go back anyday!
