I want to travel to Asia for 6 months: HK, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia: Any restrictions for US Passport?

• I am planning a trip to Asia exploring different areas such as HK, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Length of stay per state or Country is around 1-2 months. Can I be away from US for over 6 months? Any Visa requirements into any of these countries and is there any the Length of Stay restrictions? Can I work while I am exploring the city?
