Better to have long layover in Singapore or Bangkok? Business Class Air Nippon Airways/Singapore Airlines?

  • hi, I am planning a trip to Japan in August and will be flying business class on Singapore Airlines. for the departure flight, it is Abu Dhabi-Singapore, Singapore-Bangkok, Bangkok-Tokyo. there are two choices in the departure flight of either having a longer layover in Singapore or having a longer layover in Bangkok. Either way the flight from Bangkok to Tokyo is at the same time. Which airport is better to have the longer layover in? For the return flight it is going to be Tokyo-Singapore then Singapore-Dubai. I have the choice of the first leg to Singapore being on Air Nippon Airways or on Singapore Airlines. The second leg is Singapore Airlines. Should I just stick with Singapore Airlines for this or should I try the Air Nippon Airways leg? The choices for both are still business class... just wondering which is the best experience? i've never flown either airline. thanks!

  • Answer:

I would choose Singapore over Bangkok hands down for the lay over. As for the airline, if you want to give ANA a try just to say you have flown on it then you can, but I personally prefer Singapore Airlines because they have nicer staff.

Singapore Airlines is Great but you can try Air Nippon as well as Business class in most Asian Airlines is great. If you have access to the Airlines lounges then Stay one way in BKK and return in Singapore.
