Is Burma (Myanmar) very dangerous for white people?

    No, generally not dangerous. Just do not tempt locals. Many white ppl travel to Myanmar and come back safe sound and happy. Just do not look for adventures and they will not find you. I fancy going there to see Shwedagon Paya in Yangon, Bagan temple city and Ngapali Beaches with my family........ I am Japanese but Burma is not too dangerous. My friend American (white) and he walks around Burma without dying o_O My English friend in fact used to work there but it does get very dangerous and in one case, he had to leave the country as men from Burma had guns and were trying to kill him. He had a fun time though. ~Kurisuchi

G'day! Not really! It is ok to travel to Burma. In fact, burmese people are very gentle, very nice and friendly. This country is beautiful with lot of wats &temple. You need 2days in Yangon 2-4days in Bagan 2-3days in Mandalay 2-3days in Inelake It is nice to be there before the crowd would come! Happy travelling! www.discoveryindochina.com
