Best beach and best place to stay in bali?

• hi. i'm going to bali for holiday in may next year. i'm looking forward to chill at a nice beach, clear water to swim. and also the nearest place to stay from the beach. anyone, please advice, tq :)

  Hi there! If you want to go swimming then you can head to Sanur. The water here is clam and the beach is nice and clean. Other popular beach villages are Kuta and Legian but these beaches are known for their waves. So as you can imagine many surfers come here. But there are some times of day where you can jump in too to tackle the waves. In East Bali you can find Amed. This quiet and relaxing village has black beaches but the calm water is crystal clear. There are a lot of nice accommodation here where you can just relax. This area is popular for snorkeling as well. Not that far from Amed you have Candidasa. Candidasa doesn't really have beaches but if you stay at Alam Asmara you can jump straight into the water during high tide. Way up north you have Lovina and Pemuturan. Lovina has black sand too but calm waters. Pemuturan, more to the North-West has many beach resorts located right at pretty beaches. Here you can go snorkeling too. Many hotels say that they are located at the beach but sometimes you have to cross a street (like in Kuta or Sanur) or walk 5 minutes.
