Singapore or Hong Kong?

• OK, so I am going to go to either Singapore or Hong Kong after I leave Beijing. Which one would you suggest? I don't care much about history and I have heard about equal responses for both. People who were born in Hong Kong said go to Singapore, while some of my Indonesian friends said go to Hong Kong. Here is what I know about Singapore and Hong Kong Singapore -Clean, Efficient, Safe, Hot Weather, Great Food, Skyscrapers, Greenery Hong Kong - Dirtier than Singapore, Safe, Efficient, Great Food, Humid, Skyscrapers, Forested areas as well

  If you want more diversity, then Singapore is a better option because you get to experience the cultures, customs and food of the different races living in Singapore. Disregard the airfare from Beijing to Singapore, Singapore is also a cheaper place to visit than Hong Kong. However is distance is an issue to you, then obviously Hong Kong is the better choice. Just to add to what you mentioned above, the public facilities like transportation in Singapore is just as efficient as in Hong Kong if not better. Hong Kong shares a lot of similarities with Beijing which you are in now, therefore for something a little different, you should visit Singapore. Another plus point for Singapore is that English is widely spoken everywhere.
